Aldaniti who was crocked and was given time to recover by his trainer Josh Gifford was always thought by Bob that he could win a National if they could get him back to full fitness. But Bob had his own problems when he was found to have cancer. However after a long hard struggle Bob overcame his illness and so did the horse and they went on to win the 1981 Grand National against all odds.
